I have a jardine on my '87 and yes it is loud and I love it that way. I had a Harley buddy at work hear it for the first time and he said "DAMN that's in no way quiet is it?" I took it as a compliment coming from a guy who owns a quite loud Harley Haritage Softtail. And as far as installation goes it was easier than a stock muffler to install and remove if needed.
